Mother May I
A downloadable game
Welcome!
I'm CloudSnake, I am a solo dev creating the world of Mother May I, a choice based visual novel made in Ren'py. It features a skill system which will unlock unique dialogue options, and later on will determine the type of ending you get.
Plot
Embark on a gripping narrative journey in "Mother May I", a visual novel that unravels the story of three siblings determined to break free from the iron grip of an Orwellian AI named "Mother." In a dystopian future, Mother extends her control beyond mere surveillance, surgically implanting biochips in people at the age of 20, controling their bodies and imprisoning them within a virtual reality. Join the siblings as they navigate the challenges of rebellion, reveal dark secrets, and strive for freedom against the omnipotent force that seeks to control not only individuals but the very fabric of society. Will you defy Mother's control and reclaim your destiny, or succumb to the virtual prison she has meticulously crafted? The choices are yours to make in this intense and thought-provoking visual novel.
Current Development
The game right now is "roughed" in up to the end of the introduction arc. Currently it is about 1 hour of content from start to finish depending on your reading speed. I am working on getting the art for this section completed before moving on to the next story arc. Currently you will see a mix of "clean" art towards the beginning, as well as mostly storyboarded art for planning purposes.
